Urbanization.

Investing in a sustainable future

Today, half of the world population live in urban areas and in 2050 the percentage is expected to be 75%. The largest increase is in Asia, Africa and Latin America. This change towards urban population will change the way we live.

We already see 3D mobility in the way we build (high-rise buildings), underground transport, parking, etc. Another trend is corporate cities like smaller independent units inside the cities and we will need more flexible and scalable housing in the future. Trying to meet people´s needs means more recreative areas an fewer cars. In smart cities, technological possibilities are being utilized to connect and optimize infrastructure, communication, production and distribution. Cities will be self-sufficient in many areas and therefore less vulnerable in case of political, technical and social crises.
